THE STORY: Steve Estvanik’s home had an as-is value of $875,000, but it needed updates to maximize its market appeal. With the help of JCC Concierge and partner agent Karen Abbey, $205,960 worth of repairs and improvements were completed with no upfront cost, all deferred until closing. These strategic updates transformed the property and attracted strong buyer interest. The home ultimately sold for $1,335,000, far above its original value. After costs, Steve walked away with an additional profit of $254,040, allowing him to move confidently into the next chapter of his life.

What was done?

To prepare the home for market, JCC Concierge coordinated a full scope of updates designed to maximize its appeal and value. The bathrooms were refreshed with a new plumbing mixing valve, updated fixtures, a new vanity mirror, modern hardware, and a brand-new toilet. Throughout the home, new light fixtures were installed, along with all-new interior door, window, and baseboard trim for a clean, modern look. The walls and ceilings were prepped and painted with Sherwin Williams Eider White or Drift of Mist, creating a fresh and inviting interior. In the kitchen and bathrooms, new white shaker cabinets were installed, paired with elegant quartz countertops featuring an under-mount sink and new cabinet hardware. The kitchen was further elevated with all-new plumbing fixtures and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, freestanding range/stove, and microwave vent hood. For flooring, new carpet and pad were added to the primary bedroom and stairs, while luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed in the bathrooms, completing the home’s transformation into a modern, move-in-ready property.
